The advanced level, self-paced course explains the fundamental principles of international copyright and related rights protection, including a comprehensive overview of the international treaties, and recent developments and trends in the area of international copyright. It describes the system of collective management of rights and deals with issues of copyright and related rights in the digital environment. It also covers the role of WIPO in the worldwide protection of copyright. The course is best suited for participants who have already completed an introductory course in copyright law (such as WIPO’s DL-101) or who possess equivalent background knowledge.
