Child marriage and female genital mutilation are violations of human rights, with devastating consequences for individuals and for society. These harmful practices are firmly placed in the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG target 5.3 calls for the elimination of both practices by 2030.
Effective data generation, analysis and utilization are essential in addressing these complex, persistent and deeply rooted practices. This course aims to foster understanding and guide effective action to eliminate child marriage and female genital mutilation.

It is intended for practitioners who work on child marriage and female genital mutilation programmes. Participants include those who work in relevant government line ministries, civil society organizations, partner UN organizations and UNICEF.
